Denver shuts out Wisconsin 3-0

MADISON, WIS. (AP) -- Denver goalie Sam Brittain made 28 saves as the Pioneers beat Wisconsin 3-0 to extend its Western Collegiate Hockey Association winning streak to three games on Friday.

The 10th-ranked Pioneers (18-9-4, 13-6-4) scored twice in the third period to pull away. They are 7-2-2 in their last 11 games against the Badgers (12-15-2, 7-14-2).

Luke Salazar scored in the second period and Jason Zucker and Nick Shore scored in the third. Shore's goal was into an empty net with 31 seconds left.

Joel Rumpel started in nets for Wisconsin and made 22 saves. He was replaced by Landon Peterson in the third. Peterson made two stops.

Wisconsin has lost five straight games.
