ST. CLOUD, MINN. (AP) -- Drew Shore's goal 1:19 into overtime gave Denver a 3-2 win over St. Cloud State Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Shore's game-winner came on the Pioneers' (8-6-3, 6-4-3) first shot in overtime against St. Cloud State (6-9-4, 4-6-3) goalie Ryan Faragher.
Faragher made 25 saves, with a game-high 12 in the second period.
Shore also scored late in the second period to give Denver a 2-1 lead. All three Denver goals came on the power play, including Jason Zucker's in the first period.
Travis Novak scored at 17:53 of the third period for the Huskies to force overtime.
Cam Reid added a goal for St. Cloud State.
Denver goalie Juho Olkinuora made 10 of his 26 saves in the third period.
