SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS (AP) -- Emmanuel Addo and Mike Proctor led a balanced scoring attack with 10 points apiece, and Northern Colorado beat Southern University 77-57 on Saturday, the final day of the South Padre Island Invitational.
Addo was 5 of 7 from the field and added eight rebounds for the Bears (2-4).
Russell Hill scored 15 points off the bench for the Jaguars (2-4), and Jameel Grace had 13 points, five rebounds and three steals.
Southern led 11-10 after a Quinton Doggett jumper with 13:09 left in the first half and pulled within two, 25-23, on a Madut Bol layup four minutes before halftime. But Northern Colorado responded with a 9-2 run to take a 34-25 lead at the half. The Bears kept stretching their lead in the second half, going up 55-32 on a Tim Huskisson jumper with 12:43 to play.
Northern Colorado dominated inside, outscoring Southern 42-12 in the paint.
