Denver rolls by Nebraska-Omaha 7-3

DENVER (AP) -- Nick Shore had two goals and Joey LaLeggia added a goal and two assists as Denver ended a six-game home skid against Nebraska-Omaha with a 7-3 win in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game.

Thirteen different players had points for the Pioneers (5-3-2, 4-2-2) on Friday. They handed Nebraska-Omaha (6-6-1, 5-3-1) its first loss in seven games at Denver.

Dustin Jackson and Beau Bennett had two assists apiece.

It was 2-2 after one period. But Denver netted five of the last six goals.

The Mavericks outshot Denver 36-30, but had its streak of games with 40 or more shots on goal ended at four.

Adam Murray had 33 saves for Denver.

UNO got goals from Josh Archibald, Ryan Walters and Terry Broadhurst and 23 saves from John Faulkner.

Broadhurst has scored points in nine of his last 10 games.
