FLAGSTAFF, ARIZ. (AP) -- Cameron Jones scored 15 points and became the fourth player in school history to reach 1,400 points as Northern Arizona beat Northern Colorado 65-54 on Monday night.
Jones hit the milestone with a free throw in the final minutes and finished the night with 1,401 career points, 149 shy of Kelly Golob's school record of 1,550.
Gabe Rogers scored 13 points, and Shane Johannsen added 12 points and four blocks for the Lumberjacks (12-8, 4-4 Big Sky).
Devon Beitzel scored 18 for the Bears (11-9, 7-2), who have lost two straight after starting conference play 7-0.
The score was tied at 28 at halftime before Northern Arizona took control with a 7-0 run early in the second half. The Lumberjacks then used a 12-2 run to take 54-40 lead with 9:13 remaining.
Northern Colorado didn't get closer than eight the rest of the way.
