OAKLAND, CALIF. (AP) -- Tim Tebow is expected to make his first start for the Denver Broncos with quarterback Kyle Orton sidelined with bruised ribs.

Orton is listed as the third quarterback for the Broncos against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, clearing the way for Tebow.

Tebow has made only cameo appearances this season and thrown just one NFL pass. He was a first-round pick in April following his much-celebrated career at Florida, where he won two national titles and a Heisman Trophy.

Among the inactives for the Raiders are punt returner Johnnie Lee Higgins and cornerbacks Jeremy Ware and Walter McFadden.
