EUGENE, ORE. (AP) -- Amanda Johnson had 24 points and 12 rebounds and Oregon held on to defeat Denver 82-71 Friday night.
Nia Jackson and Jasmin Holliday scored 13 points apiece for the Ducks (7-2), and Kristi Fallin added 11.
But Johnson led the way. The junior forward made 7 of 11 shots and 10 of 12 free throws.
Kaetlyn Murdoch had 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Pioneers (7-5), whose four-game winning streak came to an end. Brianna Culberson added 17 points and Britteni Rice 11.
The Ducks opened the second half on a 10-0 run to take a 57-38 advantage and then went 6-for-8 from the line in the final 2 minutes to fend off Denver after it had trimmed the deficit to 76-71.
The Pioneers outrebounded the Ducks 49-39.
