LONDON (AP) — Team Sky has recruited its first non-British cyclists for next season.

Michael Barry of Canada has moved from Team Columbia, Chris Sutton of Australia from Garmin-Slipstream and Serge Pauwels of Belgium from Cervelo Test Team.

Team Sky shares management with the British track team, which topped cycling's medals table at last year's Beijing Olympics.

British Cycling performance director Dave Brailsford, who is overseeing the team, said Thursday that the new signings "will strengthen our profile even further with regards to both the classics and the big stage races."

Six Britons are already in the British road racing team's squad: Geraint Thomas, Peter Kennaugh, Steve Cummings, Chris Froome, Ian Stannard and Russell Downing.
