COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- Charges have been dismissed against a Colorado Springs woman involved in a crash that killed two pedestrians and injured a baby girl in a stroller.

Prosecutors say there wasn't enough evidence to prove charges of careless driving resulting in death, careless driving resulting in injury, and failure to yield against Jennifer Eggleton. A judge on Monday granted prosecutors' motion to dismiss the charges.

Prosecutor Tonya Karimi says a police crash reconstruction team determined Eggleton was driving below the 40 mph speed limit before the Oct. 15 crash that killed Rose Arcurgari and Rebecca Lynn Robinson and injured Robinson's daughter. Karimi says that had the case gone to trial, there also would have been testimony that the women ran into the street.
