COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested a woman on Tuesday morning who matched the description of a theft.

Officers first responded to a theft in progress and a victim gave police a detailed description of the suspect vehicle.

On an unrelated call at the Cedar Creek Apartment Complex, located in the 1000 block of South Chelton Road, police saw the suspect vehicle from the earlier theft.

The vehicle, according to police, pulled into the parking lot and parked near his marked police cruiser.

After making contact with the driver, Michelle Gutierrez, police said they saw property from the theft ibnside the vehicle. Police also said the vehicle was reported stolen.

Gutierrez was arrested on several charges, police said.
