COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested a man last week after surveillance cameras caught him with a large baggie of marijuana at Acacia Park.

Police observed him on the cameras last Wednesday with the large baggie. Officers responded and arrested David Frederick at the intersection of Bijou Street and North Cascade.

Frederick was found with 96 grams, or about one-fourth of a pound, of marijuana.

He was transported to the El Paso County Jail on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

Police said that while Amendment 64 allows a person that is 21 years of age and older to have one ounce of marijuana, it does not allow the sale of use of it in public.
