COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- People all across Colorado and the nation will be wearing red, all to support the awareness of heart disease.

"I go red because not only do I choose to live, but I want to inform other women that they, too, can choose to live," said survivor Kim Davis. "So go red."

Heart disease, according to the American Heart Association, is the number one killer of women. Another surprising statistic - 90 percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease.

The 'Go Red' campaign is now in its 10th year, becoming visible across the nation.

"It's becoming well known," Davis said. "You see it all over the place and you get to be a part of a big movement to save lives."

On Friday evening from 5:30 to 7, the American Heart Association with Macy's and the Chapel Hills mall will have a night of fashion with survivors.
