Plagued by a season-high 30 turnovers, the Air Force women’s basketball team dropped a 60-47 decision to league-leading Fresno State Wednesday evening at the Save Mart Center.

FRESNO, CALIF. -- Senior Alicia Leipprandt (Ubly, Mich.) led the Falcons with 15 points and seven rebounds, while freshman Missy Byrd (Decatur, Ga.) added a career-best 14 points. Meanwhile, Ki-Ki Moore scored a game-high 19 points, all in the first half, to lead the Bulldogs.

After leading by as many as 23 points, Fresno State (14-6, 6-1) led 35-16 at the intermission, shooting over 55 percent from the field and taking advantage of 20 Air Force turnovers. The Falcons responded by cutting the margin to 14 points within the first two minutes of the second half, but the Bulldogs were able to push their lead back to 48-25 with 12:43 remaining.

Air Force (2-17, 1-5), which outshot Fresno State in the second half, outscored the Bulldogs 22-12 to close out the game, but it was not enough to pull off the upset.

The Falcons wrap up their two-game road trip on Saturday, when they visit San Diego State in a 2:00 p.m. (PT) contest.
