LAMAR, COLO. -- A 37-year-old woman remains in the Prowers County Jail on a charge of prostitution from early Sunday morning.
Telicia N. Jones, 37, of Dallas was arrested on the charge and is being held on a $500 bond. Emory L. Alexander, 46, of Cedar Hill, Texas, was charged with Domestic Violence, Harassement, Disorderly Conduct and Soliciting a Sexual Act. He was also transported to the Prowers County Jail where he is being held without bond.
At about 12:45 a.m., Sunday, police responded to Love's Country Store in the 600 block of North Main in Lamar on the report of domestic violence.
Jones and Alexander were contacted in a semi-truck in the lot, police said. The pair were involved in an altercation where Alexander was throwing Jones' possessions out of the truck.
Police said interviews revealed Jones performed a sexual act with Alexander for money earlier in the evening.
More charges of solicitaion are being sought for a local resident in connection with this incident, police said.
