The Flu season has officially arrived and health officials are encouraging people across the country to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Influenza cases are already reported in El Paso County.
Penrose-St. Francis Health Services has partnered with Walgreens and other community partners to provide free flu vaccinations for those who can't afford it in the Colorado Springs community. The vaccinaations are for adults and children over the age of four-years-old. Starting today, free flu vaccines will be available at select locations:

According to the CDC, the seasonal flu vaccine protects against the three influenza viruses, and certain people have a higher risk of developing flu-related complications, like pneumonia. Flu symtoms include: fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, headaches, body aches. chills, and diarrhea.
