COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers chased down a stolen car Tuesday morning but were unable to arrest the driver, who ran after a crash.

Officers said they saw the car commit a traffic violation on East Pikes Peak Avenue around 1:41 p.m. and tried to pull it over. However, the driver didn't stop and was chased 20 blocks before crashing into a curb. The driver got out and ran off, and officers could not track him down.

The car had been stolen from Thornton, Colo.

The suspect is a 5'8" white or Hispanic man who weighs about 220 pounds.

No one was hurt in the chase, and no other cars were hit.
