COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs Police K-9 is reportedly doing fine after being kicked repeatedly by a boy who was wanted on felony warrants.

According to officers, the 17-year-old had a warrant that involved a dangerous weapon.

Officers tried to make the arrest around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, but the boy ran from them through an alley. Officers set up containment and found hiding in a shed.

The K-9 used to track him made contact with him, and the boy kicked the dog several times.

The boy had minor injuries from contact with the dog and was treated at a hospital before being taken to a detention center.
