COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested eight people Thursday for selling drugs at Acacia Park in Colorado Springs.
Officers said they found drugs were being sold at the downtown park and found the house they were coming from. The eight were arrested at the house on Husted Mill Court around 10 a.m.
Officers found 3.4 grams of methamphetamine, 543.8 grams of marijuana, 4.3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and $2,001 of cash at the home.
They said the goal was to make downtown Colorado Springs safer for travelers.
Brandi Alejandro, Robert Rivera, Karen Conner, Devian Thompson, James Holley, Keith Galbearth, Isaac Gurule and Jeffrey Olsen were arrested.
