ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) -- John Esposito scored two goals and goalie Andy Iles pitched a shutout as Cornell beat Colorado College 2-0 in men's college hockey on Friday.
Esposito provided all of the offense that the Big Red (1-0-0) needed, scoring on power plays in the second and third periods. Cole Bardreau assisted on both goals.
Cornell held the Tigers (3-2-0) to a season-low 19 shots on goal. Their previous low was 28 shots against Massachusetts-Lowell. Iles had a game-high nine stops in the second period.
Colorado College, which was 0-for-5 on the power play, got 26 saves from goalie Josh Thorimbert.
