COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A cookie dough selling campaign in Colorado Springs may end up costing you the dough without the cookie in return.

According to Colorado Springs Police officers, a person from the Satellite Hotel said a woman in a ROTC uniform has been going around saying she is selling cookie dough as a school fundraiser at Mitchell High.

She asks for cash payments only and writes down the orders. A man who bought the cookie bough went to the school after giving the woman cash, and the ROTC director told him the fundraiser was over and that cash was not the only acceptable form of payment.

In addition, the order form the girl used is not the same one as the official ROTC form.

Anyone with information about the woman or anyone else running the scam should call police at (719) 444-7000.
