GOLDEN, COLO. -- UPDATE: The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says no charges will be filed in a reported attempted abduction in Golden.

The 18-year-old suspect went to authorities Saturday night and told them he approached the 13-year-old boy to get information about an ex-girlfriend who lived down the street, not to kidnap him.

Sheriff's deputies say the vehicle description was similar to one given in two earlier attempted abductions in September in Arvada, but the man involved in Saturday's false alarm is not the suspect.
