DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Rapids have placed midfielder Pablo Mastroeni on the disabled list and have waived Colombian midfielder Harrison Henao.
The team said Monday that Mastroeni will miss at least six matches before being eligible to return from the disabled list.
Mastroeni was hit in the back of the head during the Rapids' season opener against Columbus on March 10, and he has missed several matches since then with headaches. He is the club's all-time leader in games played, games started and minutes.
Henao played in one MLS match for the Rapids. Waiving him gives the Rapids an additional international roster spot.
