Due to sellout on July 3, Sky Sox add another show
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Sky Sox officials Tuesday announce that due to the overwhelming response by fans for Independence Fireworks and Sky Sox baseball on Friday, July 3, the team will add an additional fireworks celebration on Thursday, July 2.
The Friday, July 3, game between Sky Sox and the Salt Lake Bees is nearly sold out, and in order to provide fans of the Front Range region with a special Independence Day celebration and fireworks show, the team is adding another fireworks spectacular to its schedule.
Thursday, July 2, will not only feature the new pyrotechnic extravaganza and baseball action, but will also include the Sky Sox regularly scheduled Thursday Night Live lineup. This includes a special pre-game concert performance by the rock band "Creating A Newsense" starting at 6 p.m., along with Happy Hour drink specials on Coors and Coors Light drafts from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
