IMA Brookwood Golf & Banquet Center announced a new General Manager Wednesday.

Here is the statement:

IMA Brookwood Golf & Banquet Center in Burton is pleased to announce the addition of Scott Brotebeck as the new General Operations Manager at IMA Brookwood Golf Club. Formerly the Head Golf Professional at Metamora Country Club in Metamora, Brotebeck has taken on the role of General Operations Manager and will oversee daily golf operations including special events, golf outings and league play at the course beginning on March 17.

"We aggressively recruited professionals with the kind of drive and expertise that Scott brings to the team" said Sherlynn Everly, Executive Director of the IMA of Flint. "He has a broad range of experience in the golf business and the spirit and energy that continues to define IMA Brookwood Golf & Banquet Center" added Everly.

According to Brotebeck, "IMA Brookwood Golf & Banquet Center is exactly the type of course for which I have been looking to work with. I am very excited about being part of the IMA Brookwood team. This is a great opportunity for me and my family and I look forward to a successful 2008 season".

IMA Brookwood Golf Club continues to grow every year with approximately 25,000 18-hole rounds played in 2007. IMA Brookwood has started many new programs over the past two years, including IMA's Brookwood Junior Golf Program and the popular Women's Wine and Nine, bringing new players into the course every year. IMA Brookwood Golf is in the final stages of developing a new state-of-the-art driving range complete with a new tee box, lighted bays, three new greens, and an 8,000 square foot putting and chipping area with a sand bunker. The new driving range facility is expected to open in May 2008.
