Garrett Custons, a native of Sarasota, Fla., had one of the best freshmen seasons ever at the Academy, batting .328 with nine home runs and 64 RBIs. He also led the Mountain West Conference (MWC) with 16 stolen bases.

Before becoming an assistant coach, Drew Long was CU's coordinator of men's basketball operations and video coordinator. During his time in Boulder, the Buffaloes improved from seven wins during the 2006-07 campaign to 15 last season.

Maj. Mike Kazlausky replaces Mike Hutcheon, who offered his resignation upon completion of the 2010 season after seven years as head coach. Kazlausky, known as "Coach Kaz," is a 1991 Academy graduate and has logged six years as an assistant coach at the USAFA.

Matt Rademacher comes to the Academy after graduating from Coastal Carolina University in 2007 as an all-conference catcher. A native of Bay City, Mich., Rademacher will be responsible for the Falcon catchers and will also be working closely with assistant coach Chandler Rose and the hitters.

While coaching at the Prep School, Bellairs was selected to the All-Air Force and All-Armed Forces basketball teams and represented the United States in the 3rd World Military Games in Cantania, Italy. In 2004, he helped the U.S. Armed Forces team to the gold medal at the 41st SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) Basketball Tournament in Mons, Belgium.

Air Force volleyball sophomore Nichole Stilwell (Divide, Colo.) was named to the ESPN The Magazine University Division Academic All-District VII third-team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday.
