COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A 26-year-old man was arrested late Wednesday evening after leading police on a pursuit.

Police were attempting to stop a vehicle for speeding near East Bijou Street and North Murray Boulevard just before 10 p.m. when the pursuit started.

The vehicle stopped and as the officer approached, the driver sped off at a high rate of speed on Bijou.

Police followed the vehicle as it turned into a nearby apartment complex. The driver, according to police, drove recklessly through the complex before leaving the vehicle and running.

Other detectives happened to be in the area and were able to catch the driver along with a passenger.

The driver, Christopher Oswald, 26, was arrested on several traffic charges and felony eluding charges. Police said the juvenile passenger was served and released on misdemeanor charges.
