Colorado Springs ranked 9th best city for driving

Believe it or not, Colorado Springs has been ranked as one of the best cities in America for driving.

In fact, it ranked ninth, according to the study done by the folks at NerdWallet. 

The study analyzed gas prices, traffic times and population density to determine the rankings.

Gas prices were used in relation to how they compare to the national urban average, traffic time was figured using annual hours of traffic delay per commuter and population density was used as a way to calculate parking availability and accessibility.

1.     Raleigh, NC
2.     Bakersfield, CA
3.     Wichita, KS
4.     Kansas City, MO
5.     Tulsa, OK
6.     Albuquerque, NM
7.     Omaha, NE
8.     El Paso, TX
9.     Colorado Springs, CO
10.  Fresno, CA

"Colorado Springs has a moderately dense population, gas prices slightly below the national urban average and 26 annual hours of delay per commuter, making it a relatively stress-free city for car drivers," the study showed. "Plus, Colorado Springs is near several large ski resorts, so your car will come in handy for weekend trips."

The study included 50 of the most populouus cities in the U.S.
