Police: Suspect may be involved in 2 bank robberies, 4 business robberies

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested the man who is believed to have been involved in two recent bank robberies and four business robberies.

Roy Schmadeka, 45, was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his home. Investigation into two bank robberies, one on Academy Bank on Jan. 18 and the other at Mountain View Bank on Jan. 29, led police to identify Schmadeka as a suspect.

During the search warrant, police recovered a large sum of cash. The exact amount will be counted soon, police said.

According to police, it ie believed that Schmadeka was involved in the two bank robberies in addition to four business robberies at Circle K, The Cellar Liquor Store, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Express.
