LAMAR, COLO. -- Lamar police has requested criminal charges be filed on a woman in the alleged murder of a man Wednesday morning.

Marla D. Abling, 47, was taken into custody since Wednesday morning. Police requested the charges of Second Degree Murder and Domestic Violence be filed on Abling.

At about 6:20 a.m., Wednesday, police responded to the 800 block of South 9th Street on the report of a dead body. Police said 45-year-old Rory Alba was found to be unresponsive.

Paramedics were not able to revive Alba, police said.

Suspicious circumstances were observed at the scene, according to police.
