MONUMENT, COLO. -- Social media is continuing to play an integral role in the search for Dylan Redwine.

Dylan has been missing since Nov. 19, his mother Elaine said. That was a day after arriving at his father's Vallecito home for Thanksgiving break.

"You know every day I wake up, and Dylan's not home," Elaine Redwine said.  "It's just another empty day."

Elaine said a Facebook page went up immediately after Dylan disappeared. Since then, the search for Dylan has grown to have an almost viral-like presence on the social media site with more than 8,000 likes on the page.

The search also has a presence on YouTube and Twitter.

"Even though it's just a point and click, it really does make a huge difference in the search for Dylan," Elaine said. "Now I know that everybody in the world is seeing Dylan.

Elaine said the search continues to be hindered by Dylan's Father. She said he will not speak to her about Dylan's disappearance.

"My gut feeling is that Dylan's dad had something to do or knows something more than he's giving information about," she said. "I wish he would talk to us but he won't do that."

The search for Dylan, according to Elaine, will not end until he is found.

"We will always look for him and we will find him," she said. "I choose hope for Dylan, because as a mother, it's very difficult to deal with something like this but I have no reason to believe that he's not (alive) so I will always choose hope for Dylan."
