DENVER (AP) -- Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is grilling lamb chops Thursday and mailing a package of ready-to-cook chops to Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley to pay up for the Broncos loss in last week's football game.
The payoff includes 12 lamb chops from the Triple M Bar Ranch in Manzanola. Hickenlooper will be joined by Triple M Bar Ranch owners David and Mary Miller from southeastern Colorado for Thursday's grilling at the state Capitol.
Hickenlooper would have received a dozen Chesapeake Bay crab cakes if the Broncos had won.
The top-seeded Broncos were eliminated from the playoffs in a 38-35 home loss Saturday to the Ravens.
