LAMAR, COLO. -- A Lamar juvenile has been accused of making threats of violence toward Lamar Middle School, according to police.

On Jan. 15, police said they were informed of a juvenile making the threats. School authoroties were immediately notified, police said.

The juvenile, according to police, was charged with interference with staff, faculty or students of an educational institution. The charge is a class one misdemeanor.

About 80 percent of schools shootings in America had at least one person knowing information that the attacker was thinking about or planning a school attack, police said.
