LA VETA, COLO. -- A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with Sunday's homicide in La Veta.

Roberto Lopez was arrested at the Carl's Junior in Walsenburg, police said. He was initially detained by Immigration officials but was later booked into jail in connection with the homicide.

It was Sunday night just before 10 when police said Eraclio Lopez-Lopez was found dead inside a residence in a trailer park in Le Veta. Initial investigation found that Lopez had been stabbed but an autopsy is pending.

Police said it's believed the suspect and victim were unknown to each other.

Investigation continues into this case.  Roberto Lopez remains at the Huefarno County Jail without bond.
