A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged in the armed robbery of an IHOP early Monday morning.

Robert Williams, 42, was charged with Aggravated Robbery from the robbery at the IHOP in the 2200 block of Sougate Road.

Police responded to the robbery just before 3 a.m., and were given the suspect's vehicle descroption by witnesses. An officer spotted a matching car and the driver's description also matched that of the suspect,

Items stolen during the robbery were also located in the car.
