The Pueblo County Coroner has identified the suspect in Tuesday morning's officer involved shooting as 20-year-old Christopher O. Tavares. The coroner said the suspect died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Pueblo Police confirm one suspect is dead and an officer shot, after two officer-involved shootings Tuesday morning.
It all started in the area of 11th and Greenwood, where officers were investigating what they believed were shots fired.
Officers came across a suspicious vehicle that fled the area. A short pursuit followed and the suspects' vehicle crashed in the 800 block of Craig. As the car's occupants fled the scene, one of them fired upon an officer.
The officer was hit but was able to return fire.
Some of the car's occupants were arrested, but others escaped on foot, including the shooter.
The shooter ran on foot to Highway 50 and Elizabeth Street, where he was found and shot by an officer.
The suspect was pronounced dead on the scene.
