PUEBLO, COLO. -- Police in Pueblo now say it's unclear whether a man who was fatally shot by officers on Christmas Day had fired at them.
40-year old Robert Licon was reported to have come out of a house and brandished a gun at the officers after they arrived on the scene of a domestic disturbance call.
Initial reports were that the man also fired at officers, but Sgt. Eric Gonzales said Wednesday it's unclear now if a shot was fired or if a door had slammed.
Pueblo Police's investigation unit is reviewing tapes of officer radios, have confiscated all the weapons involved and are waiting for snow to melt to find shell casings.
Licon was shot multiple times and died at Parkview hospital. His autopsy should be released tomorrow.
