COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Three people were not spreading the holiday spirit at a shopping mall this morning.

Colorado Springs police were called to the Citadel Mall around 4:15 this morning on the report of a robbery.  According to a mall employee, three gunmen entered the mall from an unknown access point, and tied up two employees.  There were three workers in the mall at the time - two custodians and one security officer.

The gunmen then used a sledgehammer to try to break open ATM machines throughout the mall. Police said the gunmen were in and out of the mall within 20 minutes.

It is unclear if any of the ATMs actually contained cash, and none of the employees sustained serious injuries.

Crime scene investigators continue to process the mall for evidence.  There is no suspect information at this time, and the public is asked to contact police if they know or suspect anyone.
