COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- It's the Black Friday alternative that will keep your kids smiling.
Imagination Celebration partnering with Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, providing three-hour mini-camps and a face-to-face experience with smaller animals.
"As an alternative to being dragged around from store to store, they can come here and they can do all different sorts or learning components," Sean Anglum of Imagination Celebration said.
Dozens of children also hanging out in the arts and crafts corner painting and coloring a whole new set of family souvenirs.
Some parents getting in on the fun in an effort to turn the day into a bonding experience.
"So hanging out with the family, this is quality time. That [Black Friday] line is not quality time, not at all," Patrick Smith a Colorado Springs parent said.
The Black Friday artistic break called Wild Friday was a last minute addition but a successful one, so Imagination Celebration has already decided to bring it back next year.
