A woman who wrote "Sorry single mom" on the tip line of a $138.15 bill is creating a stir on the Internet.
Many are saying the woman shouldn't have been dining out if she couldn't afford a tip. Others are saying she should have been able to leave a tip because she obviously paid the $138.15.
Some are coming to her defense, saying she isn't obligated to leave any tip.
The woman also complimented the service, writing "Thank you it was great" at the bottom."
Some think the photo is a hoax and was done simply to make single mothers look bad.
"I'm sure $140 could have gotten you and your kids a week worth of groceries, but instead you spend it one one meal?! For shame!" the Reddit user who posted the photo said.
