COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Doctor Jill Biden made a stop in Colorado Springs Monday to campaign for her husband, Vice President Joe Biden, and President Obama ahead of the Nov. 6 election.
Biden was at the Carriage House at Colorado College, speaking for about 15 minutes about topics ranging from higher education and veterans affairs to health care and women's roles in shaping the future of America.
"We came to listen to Dr. Jill Biden, to support what the Democratic Party has to say, and we are glad we were able to be here for this," supporter Dakota Malacara said.
Biden's most important message though, was to get out and vote.
"Colorado Springs is extremely important to this election, and I can't vote more than once, so I want to do something to increase the amount of votes," supporter Carolyn Bosher said. "So I came in the hopes of finding a way to volunteer to drive people to the poles. And I accomplished that."
Colorado is expected to play an important role in the election.
"Well I hope that the state of Colorado, that everyone will step out to vote," Malacara said.
