COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- After American Red Cross volunteer, Allen Crabtree, 71, was sent to Colorado Springs, he is arrested on a sexual assault charge.

Court documents outlining what happened said the victim, Mr. Crabtree, and a group of people were having dinner and drinks in downtown Colorado Springs in July.

After the others left, he and the victim continued on to another bar.

The female victim remembers paying her bar tab before she "blacked out".

Her next memory is waking up naked on a hotel bed with Mr. Crabtree pacing back and forth naked and said, "You're so young, you're so young."

The victim said she felt different than other times when she was intoxicated, she blacked out again and when she woke up she was wearing only her panties

"Victims who report sex assault cases are very brave individuals, for them to take that step and move forward again, in something so personal," Lt. Howard Black, of the Colorado Springs Police Department said.

The victim flew home, to Texas, but had pain in her vagina.

She later developed an infection, which did not begin until after she woke up in Mr. Crabtree's hotel room.

"In some of these cases that are being reported in a different state, we might have to send a detective to that state to do interviews. In this case Austin Police Department did a spectacular job in their interviews and coordinating over the telephone," Black said.

In a recorded conversation between the victim and Mr. Crabtree, the suspect said, "They tried to have sex but he could not perform."

Mr. Crabtree said they kissed and fondled each other, adding he wished he could take back what had happened.

The victim, who lives in Texas, did not report the sexual assault until August 23rd to the Austin Police Department.

APD then contacted the Colorado Springs Police Department.
