COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after shooting himself in the head.

Colorado Springs Police officers attempted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle Tuesday night.

The vehicle pulled into a driveway, and as officers approached it, the driver of the car was dead. He was the only one in the car.

Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene.
