Legendary astronaut Neil Armstrong has died.

No word on the exact cause of his death.

The American icon had heart-bypass surgery earlier this month to relieve some block coronary arteries.

Armstrong was commander of the Apollo 11 mission and became the first human to set foot on the moon in 1969.

He was 82-years-old.
