PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Police officers are investigating a death in the city after a shooting and car crash Sunday night.

According to officers, two groups began arguing while in cars. One group chased the other in a car until the group being chased was able to lose the other group. The victims had called 40-year-old David Sanchez Jr. during the chase for help, and Sanchez found the chasers.

A fight broke out near the area of East Northern Avenue and Taylor Avenue, and someone shot Sanchez around 9:37 p.m.

Sanchez tried to drive away after the shooting but crashed at Northern and Eilers Avenue. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Officers are continuing the investigation and haven't made any arrests yet.
