COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Five people are in the hospital Friday morning after three separate shooting incidents in Colorado Springs.
The first shooting happened around 8 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of North Wahsatch Avenue.
Colorado Springs Police officers said a loud argument between two men and the victim led to the shooting after the suspects knocked on the victim's apartment door. The victim was shot in the face and was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. He remains in critical condition.
The second shooting happened at the corner of Lehmberg Boulevard and Waddell Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officers said the victim's car was carjacked at the intersection of Academy Boulevard and Airport Road. The two suspects drove him to the Waddell intersection, then told him to get out of his car and run. While the victim was running, the suspects fired several shots at him, and one of the bullets hit him.
The car is a green 1999 Toyota Corolla Sedan with Colorado license plate 962 XLG.
He is expected to survive.
