COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The search is on for a man who drove off in a stolen car after being caught masturbating in a public women's restroom Monday morning.

Colorado Springs Police officers said a woman went into the restroom in an office complex across from Palmer Park around 7:57 a.m. Monday when a man grabbed her. The woman said he grabbed her with one arm and was masturbating with the other hand.

The woman was able to escape after screaming for help, but the man got away before officers arrived. Witnesses said they saw him leave in a white 2007 Hyundai Sonata with Colorado license plates 865 TOA, which was a car reported stolen from a Cimarron Hills address earlier Monday morning.

The woman said the man is white, about 6' - 6'2" tall with a thin build and "scraggly curly" medium-lengthy blonde hair. He is in his late 20s to early 30s and wore red shorts during the incident.

A statewide alert has gone out for the stolen car, and anyone who sees it is asked to call police at (719) 444-7000.
