BELLVUE, COLO. (AP) -- More people evacuated by the large wildfire in northern Colorado are returning home.

Residents of Poudre Park were allowed back Thursday, the second straight day of evacuation orders being lifted.

The fire is burning on over 68,000 acres west of Fort Collins and is 55 percent contained.

The fire has destroyed at least 189 houses and authorities expect that toll to rise as surveys of the burn area are conducted.

It's also blamed for one death.

Some evacuation orders have also been lifted near the 1,100-acre fire near Lake George. That fire is 39 percent contained. Crews are trying to keep the Springer fire from spreading on the south side of Eleven Mile Canyon, home to a reservoir which provides water to the Denver area.
