PARK COUNTY, COLO. -- A new wildfire is burning in Park County, about three miles south of Lake George and two miles north of 11 Mile Reservoir.

Officials said the Springer Fire was first reported around 12:00 p.m. Sunday.

They said 40 plus firefighters are on scene working to control the flames, which have scorched around 200 acres.

The 11 Mile Canyon Recreation Area and some homes and cabins have been evacuated.

The cause is under investigation.
