Pueblo kidnapping victim thrown into SUV

PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Police officers are asking the public for information on a kidnapping that happened last week.

Officers said a woman was walking in the 2200 block of Lake Avenue around 8:54 p.m. June 6 when an SUV made an abrupt stop next to her, and a man got out and began chasing her.

The woman ran, but the man caught up with her at the southeast corner of Highland Avenue and Lake. The woman struggled, but the man was able to wrestle her into the SUV.

Witnesses in the area said the SUV is a late-model, possibly maroon-colored Toyota. The woman is black, about 18-20 years old with a light complexion wearing a dark-colored shirt and jeans. The suspect is a white or Hispanic man with short dark hair. He wore a green shirt, blue jeans and gloves.
