COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A father who allegedly kidnapped his two children from his ex-wife's home is behind bars Thursday morning.
According to Colorado Springs Police officers, 25-year-old Warren Davis kicked his ex-wife's door down in the 700 block of Alexander Road around 2:39 a.m. Thursday, took his 5 and 2-year-old kids and left.
The children were being watched by their grandmother at the time.
Officers found Davis and the kids about an hour later at an apartment in the 1100 block of Westmoreland Road.
Based on Davis' actions at his ex-wife's house, officers said he put the children in danger. He has been charged with second degree burglary, child abuse, harassment and other charges.
The children were not hurt.
